This grand house, the home of the Throckmorton family since 1409, contains an excellent collection of portraits, furniture and antique memorabilia. Make a day visit and enjoy the extensive gardens and the grounds where a new flower garden has been created. Stroll the riverside walk and wander around the lake. There are also two churches on the site that can be explored. Learn about the Gunpowder plot from the colourful exhibition. Facilities include a gift shop, a plant centre and a licensed restaurant.
