Coventry's Former Official Town Crier
Stan Bacon was the official Town Crier for the City of Coventry from 1988. He was a member of the Ancient and Honourable Guild of Town Criers and appeared at numerous events and functions both in Coventry and around Britain delivering proclamations and greetings in the traditional 'Oyez, Oyez' style.Stan also travelled extensively as a Town Crier participating in World, European and National Championships. He is an Honorary Member of both the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Guilds of Town Criers in Canada.
