"Degrading experience"

I was expected to go to job interviews in a pair of old jeans and an old pair of trainers as the DWP refused me a budgeting loan. Despite the fact that I've just left hostal accommodation. I also suffer from plantar fasciitis in my right foot and the DWP refused to pay out for a decent pair of shoes. They also refused to pay my bus fares from one side of town to the other. I live in poverty and expected to go to interviews in shabby clothing.
