A review of Bethel Evangelical Church by Anonymous written on Sunday 19th of May 2013
Their community work is amazing - with a dedicated community vicar Lou. When I really needed someone last night, she came straight over to see how she could help, even though it was 3am!
They have another vicar Keith who is friendly and not pushy, I've heard good things about him and the man he works with (Darren) who works for the church too I think. I think he does the preaching and Darren does the music.
They have toddler groups and childrens group and do an event called party in the park in the summer.
Its really worth going along, they meet in the Railway Club on a Sunday morning. Lou actually talks with you like you're a human being not some sort of outcast - she'll help or get people to help you - and she isn't shocked my anything at all! She always prays for me, and remembers me when I've been quiet for a while.
I'm sure if you emailed the church, someone would talk with you about going along. Or if you didn't want to go, Lou would come and chat with you.
If you really need someone to talk with (who you can trust) then I think Bethel Church is the right place to go.
