There are a growing number of sites that carry news and information about the Sky Blues. Some are commercial sports news sites covering all clubs, others are private pages set up by individual supporters. All have their particular strengths and specialities. The Club also has an official site - however by comparison with the diversity offered by the other sites it does appear a little stale.

We've included all sites that we know of that have any substantial Sky Blue content and that are kept reasonably up to date. If you know of any other relevant sites that are not mentioned here, please contact us at cwn@coventry.org.uk.

SUPPORTERS SITES

ADRIAN BROPHY'S SKY BLUE PAGE

An unofficial supporters site with an interesting, although slightly eratic, collection of match reports and factual information. Unfortunately because it is on the free Tripod site it can be slow to load and also has an annoying Tripod advertising box pop up everytime you return to the first page.
BIG FAT GORDON'S SKY BLUE ARMY HOME PAGE

One of the more complete of the various supporter run sites. This one is managed by Rory Donovan who works at the University of Warwick. Rory also runs the unofficial Sky Blue Army Internet mailing list. The site has a good amount of factual information about the club including a very useful map of how to get to Highfield Road. It is also noted for Rory's own particular style of wry comment on the club and the players. Unfortunately it seems not to be kept up to date at the moment.
KARL'S SKY BLUE PAGE

An unofficial supporters site with a growing collection of audio files (in WAV format) of important events in Sky Blue history.
PRIDE OF THE MIDLANDS

Matthew Vincent-Betts' site is another unofficial supporters effort to put the official offering to shame. Matthew's pages are packed full of information including a large collection of scanned photographs and audio clips (WAV format) of Sky Blue songs. This site also gives the opportunity to put your Sky Blue to Jim Brown, club statistician - the questions and answers are posted on the site. Another unusual feature is the provision of a Java-based web chat system powered by Parachat. The only downside with the site - it is housed on Geocities and so can be a bit slow.
SENT TO COVENTRY

This is the 'official' website of the 'Sent to Coventry' fanzine. Sent to Coventry is well known for getting down to the nitty gritty of being a Sky Blues supporter. The website promises to follow suit. So far it's got match stats and useful information about ticket buying. It will be interesting to see how this site develops.
THE SKY BLUE SUPERPLEX

A truely all singing, all dancing supporters site - overflowing with marquee banners, animated gifs and background midis. The presentation can be a bit overwhelming but the site is packed full of news, information, match reports and statistics - and it all seems to be bang up to date. Certainly puts the official site to shame. It is run by Ben Nunn.
COMMERCIAL SITES

CARLING NET

The Coventry City pages on the official Carling Premiership site carry a considerable amount of useful information and statistics about the club and the players. The site also links to its own newsgroup for discussion. The match reports and results are probably the fastest updated on the web (apart, of course, from CWN!) - but it only covers Premiership matches - cup games are excluded.
RETE!

A commercial Italian based international soccer site with some basic statistical data about Coventry. Also carries AVI and Quicktime videos of selected goals - be warned the file sizes will be large.
SOCCERNET

This site is provided by SportsLine Worldwide in association with the Daily Mail. It carries a good basic set of information, reports and results in its Coventry City section. Unlike Carling Net it covers all matches including cup games. It does not however get updated as quickly as Carling Net.
TEAMTALK

This site, provided by Interactive Media Services, has one of the most compelling and up to date soccer news services on the Net. The news is also available as a RealAudio commentary. As well as basic club info Teamtalk also has competitions and a 'have your say' section.

Remember to say you saw it on CWN!
