"Low priority means invisible"

A review of Whitefriars Housing Group by Adam Gamble written on Thursday 11th of January 2018

I've been on the housing register for 3 years this month. I've been given the opportunity to view only two properties, one of which I accepted but was then told that even though the person that was above me who didnt show up to view the property was subsequently given the property.

I will be a paying tenant as I've always been working.

I'm a maintenance engineer by trade and so the property should I accept it would be decorated to a high standard and looked after.

I keep track of properties available at mid night every Thursday and bid on the ones I think appropriate for my needs. I.E a one bedroom marionette on the A45 corridor or Wyken are as they are close to my work road network.

I work hard and pay my taxes and it's as if I'm invisible. No replies to emails or phone calls. No offers of properties I bid on.

I'm now at a point where I think my only option is to go to the local MP or direct to the Governing housing MP at parliament and voice my views and concerns.
