"Awful!!!! "

A few weeks ago, my cat has disappeared; I have posted flyers around my area and a day after one of my neighbours came around my house and he told me that he has found a cat that looks like mine. The cat was stuck somewhere in his garden and couldn't move. He brought the cat to PDSA, as he was unable to find his collar or any details about cat's owner.

He said the cat was very thirsty but didn't want to eat anything, and couldn't move at all.

Once he brought the cat to PDSA they've put it to sleep straight away as they were unable to save it. ( that's what he said)

The day after, I rang PDSA, to see what actually happened with my cat and whether it was really my cat, as it was impossible for him to feel that bad in only 12 hours, or be impossible to save. The lady from the reception that I have spoken with, has been very rude, showing no compassion at all, like I've rang to ask about a broken object. She has only given me a very poor description of the cat that they have put to sleep (colour, sex and hair length)and with these details it was impossible for me to identify my cat.

They have exaggerated the diagnostic as it would have been too expensive to apply a treatment, and the man that brought the cat, was not the owner and had no money to pay and cover the costs of treatment, and the most comfortable and easiest decision it was to put him to sleep.

I've asked to speak with a supervisor or a manager, but the receptionist refused to pass me through a superior.

I have no words for such an attitude!
